App/Web
Founding Designer
2023-Present

Background
In early 2023, FitLab partnered with Nike to launch Nike Studios, a boutique group fitness concept. As the founding product designer, I led the design of the Nike Studios app and the purchase/account management experience on the website. We launched the MVP in just six months, and I have continued to evolve it with updates that enhance the member experience while supporting business goals.
Challenge
The goal was to design a booking experience that was intuitive, aligned with Nike’s premium brand, and integrated in-studio and at-home training into a single, inspiring platform.

Approach
I set out to make booking effortless, connect members’ in-studio and at-home training, and build a design system that could scale across brands, while continually refining the website’s offer strategy to convert more prospects into members. By iterating on real feedback, the app became a motivating companion that could grow with both members and the business.
01
Members needed a booking experience they could trust, one that was quick, intuitive, and easy to manage.I designed an intuitive calendar, clear class cards, and a robust booking flow for easy spot selection, changes, and modifications.
Result: Booking flows became easier to navigate, and studio staff reported fewer member issues related to reservations.
02
To keep members engaged between in-studio visits, I integrated at-home workouts alongside in-studio training and built a personalized goal tracking system to keep members engaged and consistent.
Result: Members began using at-home workouts more frequently, as noted in post-launch feedback and app usage reviews.
03
To accelerate development and maintain brand consistency, I adapted Podium components and created booking-specific elements for Nike Studios, designed to scale across other FitLab brands.
Result: Provided a reusable design foundation that sped up feature delivery and ensured visual consistency across brands.
04
I researched why the free trial wasn’t converting and found it was attracting low-intent browsers who rarely became paying members. I reworked the offer strategy: introducing a class-flow diagram so prospects understood what they were booking, and moving the booking step earlier in the journey so they invested more before paying.
Result: The redesigned offer attracted higher-quality prospects and drove a stronger trial-to-member conversion rate.
Impact
From a blank canvas to a fully launched product in six months, the Nike Studios app transformed how members connect with their training. By blending in-studio and at-home experiences, we kept the brand present in members’ daily routines, and by rethinking the trial offer, we turned casual browsers into committed members. The design system behind it has since powered other FitLab studios, turning one project’s foundation into a company-wide asset.
